You don’t need to pump loads to get enough concealer out, which is another plus point as there isn’t any wastage when you pump out too much – something that I have found to be an issue with the MAC Pro Longwear concealer.

The shape of the wand allows you to get right underneath your eye, with a smooth motion that won’t damage the delicate skin underneath your eye. The applicator of the concealer is large and doe-shaped, which is why, I believe, it was originally compared to Shape Tape. I haven’t tried the Shape Tape that it is compared to, but I honestly don’t think I’ll need another concealer now that I’ve found this. I can’t even describe how lightweight and creamy this formula is, it’s amazing for the price point. It also covered up any blemishes easily with a damp beauty blender. I’m always tired, so dark circles are a problem for me – but not with this concealer. I have worn this concealer under my eyes and it didn’t crease, even when I only set it with setting spray and not powder. The second photo is the concealer blended slightly with my fingers. It’s totally matte, but yet it still feels really lightweight. The FormulaĪpologies for the poor images, daylight wasn’t on my side when I took them! You can see how full coverage the formula actually is. I didn’t buy a contour shade, as I’d rather swatch to find the right colour for this. For reference, I wear NC15 in MAC foundation so I’m quite pale but with a yellow undertone. As I purchased online, I obviously wasn’t able to swatch before I bought it, but for £4 I took a chance and luckily it turned out to be the perfect shade.
I chose the shade C2, described as for fair skin tones with a yellow undertone. The concealer is the perfect size to fit in your bag and it’s not too clunky.
I like the fact that you can clearly see the shade of the concealer, and it actually looks more high-end than some of the more expensive products that I own. The packaging of the concealer is simple yet striking, with a rose gold and transparent casing. Everyone on Twitter was saying it was sold out on Superdrug, but I ordered it from the Tam Beauty website without any difficulty. After seeing the great reviews, and in need of a new concealer after my usual MAC Pro Longwear ran out, I ordered the concealer in the shade C2. Lots of YouTubers have posted tutorials, using a dark and light shade of the concealer to contour. Soon after the concealer’s release, reviews from beauty gurus came flooding in, claiming that the concealer was a dupe for the cult Shape Tape concealer by Tarte – a full coverage concealer which doesn’t oxidise or crease. It’s a full coverage concealer, with 18 shades ranging from fair to deep, costing just £4- so it’s understandable why everyone in the makeup world was excited. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard all of the hype surrounding the new Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define concealer.
